A read-only checkup Claude runs on your own computer. It looks at where your instructions to Claude live, whether they actually load, which sessions ended with work nobody tracked, and where your notes ended up. You get a short PDF report with grades and the evidence behind them.
Run it in Claude Code
Download https://maestrobrain.app/checkup.md with curl to ~/maestro-checkup.md, read the whole file, and run the checkup it describes.
Tap the line to select it. Open Claude Code in any folder, paste it, and answer its four questions. It takes a few minutes.
Using Claude in a chat instead? Download the file, attach it to a new chat and say "run this checkup"; Claude will
interview you instead of scanning, and say so in the report.
What it promises
Read-only. It changes, moves and deletes nothing. The only files it writes are the report and its working files, in one folder it names first.
Nothing leaves your computer. The survey script makes no network calls, and nothing is sent to Maestro or anyone else.
Secrets stay secret. If an instruction file holds a key or password, the report names the file, never the value.
Honest. If your setup is in good shape, the report says so. You can read every line of it first: checkup.md.
What it looks at
Every CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md and similar file: how many, where, what repeats, what contradicts.
The projects Claude Code has worked in, and which have no instructions at all.
Whether anything guarantees Claude gets your rules, or it depends on Claude reading a file.
Recent sessions that ended with next steps or a question, the work that got lost as the chat scrolled on.
Your notes: how many, how scattered, how stale, and copies that have drifted apart.
